SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Police shot and killed a man at a condominium complex at Thomas and Hayden roads on Sunday night.

The 35-year-old man was arguing with a family member inside of a condominium unit where they both lived, according to Officer David Pubins with the Scottsdale Police Department.

Pubins said, the suspect fired his shotgun off inside the unit and again multiple times outside the unit.

When he saw police officers he pointed the shotgun at them and was struck multiple times by officers.

The suspect was taken to Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn where he was pronounced dead at 8:15 p.m. Sunday night.

No officers or other individuals were injured.

Eastbound Thomas Road from Hayden will be closed until the early morning hours for the investigation.

The suspect's identity will be released on Monday.
