SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Police said a man has died after his motorcycle collided with a car in Scottsdale.

It happened at the intersection of 64th Street and Camelback Road.

Police are still investigating but said it appears the car turned left in front of the motorcycle, causing them to collide.

Scottsdale police Sgt. Mark Clark identified the motorcycle rider as Brian K. Jarret, 45. Jarret was rushed to a hospital but did not survive.

Police said a helmet was found at the scene, but it is not clear if Jarret was wearing it.

The driver of the car, a 19-year-old, was not injured. At this point, police have not cited that driver.

Investigators do not believe speed or alcohol were factors in the crash.

The roadway was closed for nearly four hours while police conducted the on-scene portion of their investigation.
