Rollover closes I-8 eastbound west of Gila Bend

PHOENIX -- A rollover involving two semis has closed Interstate 8 eastbound about 15 miles west of Gila Bend, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

Drivers should expect an extended closure Thursday afternoon at milepost 100 as crews work to remove the vehicles from the road. Westbound I-8 remains open.

ADOT advises drivers heading eastbound from the Yuma area to avoid I-8. Instead, drivers can take US 95 northbound from Yuma to Quartzsite, where they can turn onto I-10 eastbound.
