PEORIA, Ariz. – Peoria police are asking for the public's help identifying a suspect who attempted to rob a convenience store.
According to police, a male went into a convenience store near 83rd Avenue and Cactus Road just before 4 a.m. on Nov. 28.
He appeared to be a regular customer. However, when he took a drink to the counter, instead of paying he indicated to the clerk that he had a weapon and demanded money from the register, according to spokeswoman Amanda Jacinto.
The clerk refused to give the suspect money and he left the store without further incident.
The suspect appears to be a white male about 15 to 19 years old, 5 feet 3 inches to 5 feet 7 inches tall and has acne on his face. He was last seen wearing a light-colored hooded sweatshirt with stains on the sleeves, a brown beanie cap, black knit winter gloves, brown khaki pants and brown shoes.
Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to contact Peoria police at 623-773-7045 or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS. An individual could receive up to a $1,000 reward.
