PHOENIX -- Although officials called off Ahwatukee's Red, White and Boom Fireworks Fest due do safety concerns triggered by rough weather Thursday night, those who bought tickets are not out of luck.

The Ahwatukee Foothills Chamber of Commerce said Rawhide will honor Boom Room and VIP ticket stubs or receipts from Red White and Boom for entry into their Red White and Rawhide event either tonight or tomorrow night.

Those Boom Room and VIP ticket holders should look for will-call signage at the entry.

Additional information about the event can be found at www.rawhide.com or call 480-502-5600.

Hoping that Mother Nature would cooperate and that the weather would clear, officials in Ahwatukee held off making the decision to cancel as long as possible. Once made, they called it "the safest thing for our community."
