CHANDLER, Ariz. -- Rachel Brock, the daughter of Maricopa County Supervisor Fulton Brock, has been released from jail.

Brock was arrested on Dec. 29 on three counts of suspicion of sexual misconduct but was released after 48 hours since charges have not yet been filed by the Pinal County Attorney's Office. The county attorney may be gathering additional evidence in the case before bringing formal charges against the 21-year-old Brock.

Brock was accused of sexually abusing the same 14-year-old boy that her mother, Susan Brock, is accused of molesting over a three-year period. The abuse allegedly started when the boy was 14 and Rachel Brock was 18.

Police say the mother and daughter were unaware of each other’s relationship with the boy, who is now 17.

Rachel Brock's release from jail comes just days before her father becomes the new chairman of the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors.
