PHOENIX – Police are searching for the suspects involved in armed robberies at two Rent-A-Center locations and a cellphone store.
On July 7, two suspects entered the Rent-A-Center store at 32nd Street and McDowell Road in Phoenix at approximately 7:15 p.m.
One suspect walked to the rear of the store. Police said the other suspect walked to the register where he removed a handgun from his waistband, racked the slide and pointed the weapon at the ground. He demanded money from the register then went to the rear office and opened filing cabinet drawers.
The employees handed over the money and both suspects fled on foot.
Another armed robbery occurred at a Rent-A-Center in Mesa at approximately 1:15 p.m. on July 16.
Police released surveillance video of the two robberies.
One suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 5 feet 6 inches tall, 160 pounds, 25 to 35 years old with black hair, a mustache, goatee and tattoos on both arms. The other suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 6 feet 3 inches tall, 220 pounds, 25 to 35 years old, with black hair, a mustache and other facial hair.
Mesa police believe the suspects in the Phoenix Rent-A-Center armed robbery may possibly be involved in an armed robbery at the Boost Mobile store at Alma School Road and Eighth Avenue, which occurred around 6 p.m. on July 13.
A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest and/or indictment of the suspects.
