GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Police in Glendale are asking for the public’s help in solving a recent string of armed robberies at local convenience stores.
Glendale Police said during the past seven months there have been four robberies at Valero and 7-11 stores. The first incident took place in March, while the most recent robbery was on November 17.
Police believe the same individual is responsible for all four crimes.
In each robbery the suspect wears sunglasses, a hat or hooded sweatshirt, and covers his face with a bandana or mask.
The suspect enters the business either late at night or early in the morning and points a semi-automatic handgun at the clerk.
The suspect demands all the money from the register and then orders the employee to lie on the ground until he leaves the store.
The suspect has fled the scene on foot in all four cases.
Police say the suspect is a white male between 5 feet 9 inches and 6 feet tall. He has a thin build and is thought to have brown hair.
Anyone with any information is asked to call the Glendale Police Department at 623-930-3000 or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
