PHOENIX -- Phoenix police make a second arrest in the Nov. 1 murder of a North Phoenix woman.

32 year old Bethany Lewin was killed inside her mother's home near Scottsdale Road and 70th Street last Thursday. Two witnesses at the scene say they saw a man come out of home, carrying an Uzi sub-machine-gun with a silencer.  They say he then left the scene on a motorcycle.

When Phoenix officers were called to the home to do a welfare check on the woman, they found her in the master bathroom with a bullet wound to her head. She was seated on the toilet with her pants down below her knees and her t-shirt raised above her abdomen.

Officers also said they found some broken items and other signs of a struggle inside the home.

The witnesses positively identified the suspect through photographs as 50 year old Ernest McAllum. The next day, McAllum was arrested at his Tolleson home, and was charged with first degree murder.

Now, a second man has been taken into custody in the killing. Today, Phoenix police arrested 20 year old William Arthur Wright. He faces charges of first degree murder, burglary, theft and weapons violations.

Detectives believe that McAllum and Wright knew the victim but the motive for the killing is still unclear. Both McAllum and Wright  have been booked into the Maricopa County Jail.

McAllum, who's a repeat violent offender, told police he went to the victim's home to do some electrical work. But he has denied involvement in her death.
