PHOENIX -- Phoenix police would like to speak with an investigative lead regarding two armed robberies and are asking for the public's help to identify him.

Officers responded to an armed robbery at a restaurant near 16th Street and Buckeye Road just before 2 a.m. on Sept. 10. They located two victims who indicated they were robbed at gunpoint. One suspect was said to be armed with a sawed-off shotgun and a handgun.

Police responded to the same location just before 2 a.m. on Sept. 14 and located additional victims who may have been robbed by the same individuals, according to Sgt. Steve Martos.

Detectives believe the suspects may have waited for patrons to leave just before closing then confronted the victims in the parking lot. When victims refused to turn over their money and property, the suspects produced a shotgun and handgun.

Martos said in one of the robberies, a suspect placed the shotgun on a victim's chest in order to intimidate him into relinquishing his property.

Detectives located the suspect vehicle and during the course of their investigation discovered a photo of an investigative lead (see above).

Police are asking anyone who knows who this person is to call 602-262-6141. The person in the photo is not a suspect at this time, but detectives would like to question him regarding these crimes.
