PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. -- A Prescott Valley woman was arrested after she allegedly tried to stab another woman and attempted to run over several people with her vehicle Saturday night.
According to Sgt. Brandon Bonney with the Prescott Valley Police Department, Josie Bennett, 30, was upset over her boyfriend being in a new relationship and allegedly made threats to cut the new girlfriend with a knife and kill her.
Bonney said Bennett consumed alcohol and drove to a home in the 3300 block of Tower Road and attempted to stab the woman with a knife. She missed, causing only a superficial injury.
Several bystanders wrestled the knife away from Bennett.
Bonney said Bennett then got into her vehicle and reportedly attempted to run over several people. During the incident, she drove into a home and hit three parked vehicles, a chain-link fence and a brick wall before her vehicle became disabled.
Bennett was arrested and booked into the Yavapai County Jail in Camp Verde for five counts of aggravated assault, four counts of endangerment and four counts of felony criminal damage.
