MESA, Ariz. -- A 64-year-old Mesa man was arrested Thursday morning for allegedly having more than 200,000 pornographic images of children.

Detectives from the Arizona Internet Crimes Against Child Task Force searched the Broadway Road apartment where Dennis Edward Crabtree lived alone after discovering that images of young girls being sexually exploited were allegedly being distributed from the residence.

Phoenix police said Crabtree admitted to collecting and using the images, which victimized girls between the ages of 6 and 12, and was producing and duplicating them on DVDs.

Police said he also had several several cameras, numerous child figurines and other pictures of children in the home.

Investigators believe Crabtree had access to young girls and said those children would be interviewed.

Crabtree reportedly admitted to being sexually attracted to children but denied any physical contact.

He was booked on suspicion of 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.

Police said it is the largest child pornography collection the task force has seen this year, and investigators are working to identify the children.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the task force at 623-466-1828.
