TEMPE, Aria. -- It’s an image Arizona State University has been trying to change, but the school has, once again, made Playboy Magazine’s top 10 list of party schools.

In its college edition, Playboy said it surveyed readers and crunched numbers to come up with the list, which includes West Virginia University as No. 1, USC as No. 4, and ASU as No. 9.  The article claims you can find a raging party on any given day and describes life of a student as “tan, sleep, eat, drink and (maybe) go to class.”

So, how do students feel about making the list, after dropping off last year?

“It’s surprising because usually we’re No. 1 or 2,” Kahla Lieberman said.

“I don’t think it’s hindering the academics,” Brooke Beneze said.”I still have a 4.0 and can still go out and have fun.”

“I kinda like that we’re going down (on the list) because I, personally, want this school to move away from partying and towards actually being a serious university,” Cole Dellisanti said.

Meanwhile, the university provided 3TV with the following statement:

“ASU does not consider Playboy’s evaluation of our nation’s universities to be of significant merit. We have always placed our focus on providing an academic and social environment of excellence with numerous opportunities to help our students grow intellectually.”

ASU last made the Playboy list in 2011. It was No. 3.
