SAN TAN VALLEY, Ariz. - A man is behind bars facing child prostitution charges after allegedly beating up a teen who worked for him.
On June 6, the victim called 911 to report to the Pinal County Sheriff's Office that she has been beaten up by her "pimp."
Deputies located the 15-year-old victim in the area of Ocotillo and Ranch boulevards wearing only underwear bottoms and a tank top and was extremely upset.
The victim told deputies that her pimp had hit her so she jumped out of the vehicle.
She told deputies that she was a prostitute and her pimp was upset beacuse she didn't get the money from a client up front.
She identified the suspect as Chad Walker, 26, of Buckeye, who was last seen driving a 2005 Cadillac STS headed toward the Motel 6 near Priest Drive and Broadway Road in Tempe.
The victim had a cut lip and abrasions to her chest and thighs.
On Tuesday, Walker was booked into the Pinal County Adult Detention Center on one count each of aggravated assault and causing a minor to engage in child prostitution.
Deputies contacted the victim's mother, who lives in Tucson. She had reported her daughter as a juvenile runaway to the Tucson Police Department.
The victim told deputies that Walker arranges clients through the "Escort Services" section of www.backpage.com.
Additional charges are pending against Walker.
