SPRING VALLEY, Ariz. -- Wind will continue to be a problem for firefighters battling the Gladiator Fire.

A Red Flag warning was issued on Thursday, and strong winds are expected to return on Friday.

Fire officials said that while the wind was bad on Thursday, there weren't any other homes or buildings damaged by the blaze.

With the weather not expected to cooperate for the next couple of days, an additional 140 firefighters were brought in Thursday night.

"We're trying to get a few days ahead of what the fire could potentially do," firefighter Ben Plumb said.

The Gladiator Fire began burning last Sunday when a fire broke out in a structure on private property.
The fire now spans 8,166 acres and is just 5 percent contained.

An evacuation order is currently in effect for Crown King, and all roads into the community have been closed.

Officials are also banning all open fires and camp fires in Yavapai County, as well as fireworks and pyrotechnic displays.
