SAN ANTONIO, Texas -- The fourth annual San Japan convention is underway in San Antonio, Texas this weekend. San Japan is a Japanese culture and Anime event that draws thousands of anime movie buffs to south Texas every summer.

The San Japan group was formed in Fall 2005 with a mission of promoting Japanese animation and cultural awareness. Attendance of the annual event has grown significantly each year with more than 5,000 attendees in 2010. 

Guests have included Vic Mignogna, Christopher Ayres, Tiffany Grant, Laura Bailey, Travis Willingham, Josh Grelle, and Samantha Inoue-Harte.

Musical guest appearances have included Smile.dk, LeetStreet Boys, Mega Ran, The Protomen, KESHIKI and OverClocked ReMix.

Every bit the characters they play, anime fans inhabited three floors of San Antonio's Rivercenter Marriott.
