KEAMS CANYON, Ariz. -- Friends, teammates, school staff and community members gathered at a memorial service Wednesday night for an Arizona high school football player who died from a brain injury he suffered on the field.
Seventeen-year-old Charles Youvella died after a playoff game Saturday night.
The Hopi High School wide receiver scored a touchdown -- the only one for the team.
During the game, he hit his head and later collapsed on the field. He died Monday at a hospital.
Funeral services are set for Friday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Polacca on the Hopi reservation.
