APACHE JUNCTION, Ariz. -- An Apache Junction man was surprised by four unexpected houseguests.
Max Merrick heard some noises in a space under his storage shed and found a family of javelina had moved in.
Merrick said he's not sure how they got down there because there are no stairs, only a ladder.
A volunteer from Liberty Wildlife and a group of friends managed to get them all out.
It took about seven hours to get the animals safely rounded up then they were released back into the wild.
