PHOENIX (AP) -- A Phoenix woman accused of fatally running over her boyfriend with her vehicle after an argument has pleaded not guilty.

Maricopa County prosecutors say 20-year-old Brittney Nicole Nolan entered her plea Thursday.

Her pretrial conference is set for March 27.

Nolan was arrested on suspicion of leaving the scene of a fatal traffic collision.

Phoenix police say 20-year-old Jacob Rice died after being hit by a car while out walking.

His body was found by a jogger on Jan. 25.

Police say Nolan told investigators she went out looking for Rice after they fought.

Nolan says she was using her cellphone when she lost control of her car and thought she had struck a pole.

Police say Nolan told investigators that she drank at a desert party before the accident.
