PHOENIX -- A storm system headed our way from the Gulf of Alaska could bring rain showers to metro Phoenix by Friday. The chance for rain is about 40 percent. Some isolated showers could linger into Saturday morning. For sure, we’ll see much cooler temperatures, from the low 80s on Tuesday to the low 60s on Friday through the weekend.

Most of the rain chances right now are centered in southeast Arizona. Even if it does rain around the Valley, it doesn’t appear the showers will be all that heavy, perhaps ¼” of rain or less is what most locations can expect.
