PHOENIX -- Monsoon season got started on Friday, and on Saturday some Arizona residents got their first taste of wet weather.
The southeast portion of the state saw thunderstorms and high winds, while places like Casa Grande, Queen Creek, and Florence experienced a dust storm warning Saturday afternoon.
Despite the turbulent weather in parts of the state, the high in the Valley was still 106 on Saturday.
Temperatures are only going to get warmer as the week moves on, as the high on Sunday is expected to reach 110. The high will remain north of 110 for most of next week, with Thursday expecting a high of 112.
