TEMPE, Ariz. -- The Tempe Police Department has arrested a teacher in the Phoenix Elementary School District for allegedly engaging in sexual conduct with a female student back in 2005.
Nicole Renee Wooten, 36, was arrested Wednesday evening on three counts of sexual conduct with a minor.
Wooten is a P.E. teacher at Herrera School for the Fine Arts and Dual Language in Phoenix. The victim was an 8th grade student at Herrera School at the time of the alleged crime.
Police said they interviewed Wooten following Wednesday's arrest, at which time she reportedly admitted to the allegations.
The Phoenix Elementary School District has yet to comment on the situation.
