PHOENIX – Phoenix police are asking for the public's help in identifying and locating two suspects in a double shooting Thursday night.

Police said James Finn, 38, and a 50-year-old man were shot near Indian School Road and 27th Avenue at around 11 p.m.

Sgt. Tommy Thompson said the men were walking to a business in the area when a silver sedan pulled up to them. A man got out of the car and asked if one of them was "Ohio." Finn said he was "Ohio" and walked up to the vehicle.

Thompson said the second man got out of the car and shot Finn and the 50-year-old man.

Both victims were transported to a local hospital where Finn died from his injuries. The other man's injuries do not appear to be life-threatening. Police did not release his name.

The suspects were described as Hispanic males in their 50s.

Anyone with information about this incident or the suspects is asked to contact the Phoenix Police Department at 602-262-6151 or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
