PHOENIX (AP) -- Authorities have identified a dead body found in a Phoenix backyard last weekend.
Phoenix police say the body is that of 34-year-old Carlos Martinez and they're investigating the case as a homicide.
They say Martinez was unresponsive when police arrived at the residence about 6 a.m. Saturday and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say Martinez's body showed signs of trauma.
Other people also were at the residence, but police say nobody reportedly seeing what happened to Martinez.
Neighbors told police that the residence had frequent foot and vehicular traffic at all hours of the day, which gave the impression of illegal activity being conducted.
