PHOENIX (AP) -- A Phoenix man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for running down another parent with his vehicle after an argument at an elementary school.

Maricopa County prosecutors say 34-year-old Anthony Michael Parrinello received an aggravated prison term Friday and four years of supervised probation.

He was convicted in February of second-degree murder and leaving the scene of a fatal accident.

Parrinello was arrested after 42-year-old Carmello D'Alessandro was run over on a street about two blocks from the school in August 2012. He later died at a hospital.

Parrinello and D'Alessandro both had children enrolled in Canyon Springs School in Anthem, northwest of Phoenix.

As the men waited in a parking lot for their children, witnesses say Parrinello argued with D'Alessandro and then challenged him to a fight.
