PHOENIX (AP) -- More than 50 companies will be looking to fill more than 1,500 positions at a Phoenix job fair.
The Greater Phoenix Job Fair is scheduled to take place Monday at the Phoenix Airport Marriott.
Among the companies who will be recruiting prospective new employees are Arizona State University, the Arizona Department of Revenue, Cox and Discount Cab.
Attendance is free for job seekers.
The fair runs from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Applicants are encouraged to arrive early and dress appropriately.
A state jobs report last month showed Arizona's unemployment rate had its biggest drop in 30 years, declining from 7.3 percent in March to 6.9 percent in April.
State economists say Arizona added 4,300 nonfarm jobs in April, with the private sector and government adding positions.
