PHOENIX -- A volunteer at a Phoenix elementary school was arrested Tuesday on child pornography charges.

Travis Scott Kinkaid-Mata, 27, of Buckeye, allegedly uploaded child porn to a social networking service.

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received a cybertip on March 26 from the social networking service provider stating that 18 images of child porn had been uploaded to its servers. The photos reportedly showed young boys engaged in sex acts with adult men and other children.

Phoenix police traced the email address used to register the account to Kinkaid-Mata, who was living in Phoenix at the time the photos were uploaded.

Police learned the Anthem College student was placed in the library at Longview Elementary School through a federal work-study program and arrested him at the school Tuesday morning. Osborn School District Superintendent Patricia Tate said in a statement that he was a volunteer.

Police said Kinkaid-Mata admitted that he uploaded the images under the username "PKinky87" and the email address used to register the account was his. He also reportedly admitted to being sexually attracted to children.

Kinkaid-Mata is facing 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, a class two felony.

He is scheduled to appear in court July 23.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to call Phoenix police at 623-466-1829 or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.

Tate released this statement Wednesday:

"We have been contacted by the Phoenix Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation regarding the pending arrest of Travis Kinkaid (a.k.a. Mata) for downloading child pornography from the Internet. Mr. Kinkaid volunteered at Longview Elementary School in the Osborn School District through a federal work study program at Anthem College.

To our knowledge no Longview students were involved nor was any inappropriate material downloaded from any Osborn computer.

The Osborn School District is cooperating fully with local and federal authorities as the investigation continues. The safety of our children is our first priority.

Please refer all questions/inquiries concerning Mr. Kinkaid-Mata's criminal investigation to the Phoenix Police Department/Public Affairs Bureau."
