PHOENIX -- After a few days with lots of clouds and temperatures well below normal during the afternoon hours, we’re going to see high temperatures spike the next couple of days around the Valley. Tuesday, we’re forecasting a high of 108 and Wednesday 107. A couple of Valley locations may get to 110. That’s pretty warm for this time of year.
Tuesday we expect mostly sunny skies. However, by Wednesday, the chance for thunderstorms returns to the afternoon and evening forecast. In fact, it looks like we’ll have daily chances for storms through next weekend. However, we’re still smarting from last weekend’s “busted” forecast so we understand that our weather models are not handling the current weather pattern very effectively.
We’ll also see another cool down. Beginning Thursday through the Labor Day Holiday weekend, Valley highs may stay in the 90s.
