Map: Phoenix homicide
PHOENIX -- Phoenix Police are searching for the person responsible for killing a 60-year-old man on Saturday afternoon.
Authorities responded to the area of 23rd Avenue and Southern just after 12:30 p.m. and found the victim lying on the sidewalk.
Police spoke with a witness who said she was inside her home when she heard a gunshot. The woman walked outside and heard another gunshot and some yelling.
The woman then saw the victim lying on the sidewalk and saw a black male running from the area.
Officers were unable to locate anyone after searching the area, and have only a vague description of the suspect.
