GLENDALE, Ariz. -- A man is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries after he allegedly fired off rounds from a rifle at a Glendale party early Sunday morning.
According to police, a 27-year-old man got into an altercation at a house party near Olive and 51st avenues and was asked to leave.
The man reportedly returned a short time later with a rifle and began firing off shots outside the home.
The man allegedly started pointing the rifle at partygoers, which is when a 39-year-old male partygoer pulled out a handgun and shot the 27-year-old.
The 39-year-old man did not attempt to leave the scene and waited for police to arrive.
Police said the 39-year-old was cooperative with investigators and was released after being questioned.
