Map: Man allegedly assaults mother
MESA, Ariz. -- Police arrested a man for allegedly assaulting his mother and threatening to kill others in a Mesa home early Sunday morning.
Jesse Colin Holm, 24, was charged with assault, criminal damage, threatening and intimidating, possession of prescription drugs and possession of dangerous drugs.
Police officers responded to a report of someone threatening others with a knife at a home near Guadalupe and Sossaman roads at about 4:45 a.m.
According to Mesa police Sgt. Tony Landato, officers learned Holm never had a knife, but he had assaulted his mother and punched a hole in a door.
Landato said the officers knocked on the door and heard a female screaming inside so they kicked in the front door. The victims and Holm eventually came out.
Police later learned that Holm had threatened to kill everyone in the house when he heard the officers knocking.
