COTTONWOOD, Ariz. -- Authorities arrested a 53-year-old man who allegedly robbed several banks in Yavapai and Mohave counties..
Kevin Campbell was taken into custody following the robbery of a Chino Valley bank on Friday afternoon.
A teller was able to obtain a description of the suspect's vehicle and license plate number.
An officer with the Arizona Department of Public Safety located the vehicle on Highway 89A between Chino Valley and Prescott. A pursuit ensued but was called off a short time later due to concerns for the public's safety.
The vehicle was later located by a deputy with the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office in the Spring Valley area. Campbell was located a few hours later at a residence in Cordes Junction.
Cottonwood police had been searching for a suspect in a Feb. 11 robbery of the Bank of America at Main and Cottonwood streets. Police said the suspect was similar to the one seen in a Chase Bank robbery in Camp Verde a week earlier.
Campbell was interviewed by Chino Valley detectives and admitted to his involvement in all three robberies, according to Sgt. Tod Moore with the Cottonwood Police Department.
Campbell also confessed to a Jan. 24 bank robbery at the National Bank of Arizona in Golden Valley, according to the Mohave County Sheriff's Office.
Campbell was booked into YCSO Jail on several felony counts and more charges could be filed in Mohave County.
