PHOENIX -- Today makes six years since two news helicopters, including ours, collided above downtown Phoenix.

They were covering a police chase when Channel 15's helicopter and ours went down in Steele Indian School Park.

Scott Bowerbank and Jim Cox from our station died, along with Craig Smith and Rick Krolak from Channel 15.

A memorial was built near 3rd St. and Indian School Road to honor them, where people still gather to remember them.

The Cox family also created the "James Alan Cox Foundation for student photographers," which provides financial support for young photojournalists.
