PHOENIX (AP) -- Nearly 1.2 million people attended the Arizona State Fair this year.
The annual event at the State Fairgrounds in Phoenix ran for 18 days between Oct. 11 and Nov. 3.
Officials say this year's attendance total was almost 25,000 more than last year and the highest since the fair switched to a five-day schedule four years ago.
The 1.17 million total ranks as the fourth-highest in the State Fairs' 129-year history.
Officials say mild weather helped boost attendance this year along with a wide variety of attractions, concerts and activities.
