TUCSON, Ariz. -- A Mexican national wanted in Phoenix on first-degree murder charges was arrested by Border Patrol agents last weekend.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection said Narcizo Yepiz-Urrea, 29, was apprehended last Saturday by agents stationed in Douglas.
Yepiz-Urrea was originally arrested for being in the United States illegally. While he was being processed, agents learned that he had an active felony warrant for murder.
Yepiz-Urrea was turned over to the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office where he awaited extradition by U.S. Marshals.
