PHOENIX – A motorcyclist died after a collision with a pickup truck in Phoenix Tuesday evening.
According to police, the motorcycle was eastbound in the area of Elliot Road and 48th Street when it collided with a Dodge pickup truck that was making a southbound turn into a private drive at around 6:45 p.m.
The motorcycle rider was transported to a local hospital where he later died.
Phoenix police spokesman Officer James Holmes said the driver of the pickup was found not to be impaired and preliminary information indicates the motorcycle's speed may have been a factor.
No charges have been filed and the investigation is continuing.
