MESA -- A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a Mesa mom who didn't show up in court Friday.
Samantha Abernathy faces multiple charges of felony child abuse and endangerment after leaving her two toddlers alone in her apartment.
Investigators say they were left for more than eight hours and were found eating dog food.
Abernathy did not appear for her sentencing.
Child Protective Services has investigated Abernathy at least twice before.
The two children are currently living with relatives.
