Mobile home fire leaves firefighter injured

PHOENIX -- A structure fire early Wednesday morning left a firefighter injured, and left a north Phoenix mobile home in ruins.

The fire broke out around 12:30 a.m. near 26th Street and Bell Road. When fire crews arrived at the scene, the unit was fully engulfed in flames. Three other mobile home were also threatened, but were not damaged.

The residents were not home at the time.

One firefighter who battled the blaze sustained minor injuries. He was taken to the hospital, but is said to be in good condition.

The cause of the fire is not known, and investigators are still on the scene piecing together what happened.
