BLACK CANYON CITY, AZ -- A mobile home was completely destroyed by fire and one of the residents was badly burned early Friday morning.
This happened at a residence on Saguaro Lane in Black Canyon City.
The Yavapai County Sheriff's Office said the Black Canyon City Fire Department responded to the fire at about 1 a.m.
When they arrived, the mobile home was already fully engulfed. Several vehicles on the property were also burned and destroyed in the fire.
There were several adults and children sleeping in the mobile home when the fire broke out. Most of them were able to get safely out of the home, except for one adult male.
The Yavapai County Sheriff's Office said that the 56-year-old man was disabled and was not able to exit the home on his own.
Other family members and neighbors assisted the disabled man out of the home. He suffered severe, life-threatening burn injuries over a large portion of his body.
The cause of the fire is not yet known. The Yavapai County Sheriff's Office, along with the Black Canyon Fire Department, Daisy Mountain Fire Department and ATF are investigating the fire.
