RIMROCK, Ariz. (AP) -- Yavapai County authorities say a man had to be airlifted to a Flagstaff hospital after he was stabbed at a bar.
Yavapai County Sheriff's spokesman Dwight D'Evelyn says deputies responded Friday around 1:45 a.m. to the McGuireville Tavern in Rimrock and found a man bleeding from the chest and a knee.
D'Evelyn says the 38-year-old Cottonwood man alleged that a man he didn't know stabbed him without provocation.
Deputies say they conducted first aid until the man was transported to Verde Valley Medical Center.
D'Evelyn says the victim was then flown to Flagstaff Medical Center.
Witnesses told investigators a man who had a knife fled the area.
D'Evelyn says detectives expect to make an arrest soon but did not release any details about a possible suspect.
