PHOENIX – Phoenix police have identified the suspect in a fatal stabbing at an apartment Thursday night.

Sgt. Tommy Thompson said Jonathan Hollinquist, 19, was asleep on a couch at about 7:30 p.m. when three or four Hispanic men entered his apartment near Bethany Home Road and Interstate 17.

Thompson said one of the men got into an argument with Hollinquist concerning a previous conflict. That man allegedly stabbed Hollinquist.

He has been identified as 19-year-old Gerardo Silveria Jr., who also goes by the name "Bemo."

Silveria and the other men fled the scene.

Hollinquist was transported to a local hospital, but he died from his injuries.

Anyone with information concerning this incident or Silveria's whereabouts is asked to contact the Phoenix Police Department at 602-262-6151 or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS or 480-TESTIGO for Spanish.
