PHOENIX -- A 23-year-old man died after being shot at a south Phoenix apartment complex Wednesday night.
Residents near Broadway Road and 44th Street called police after hearing gunshots at approximately 11:15 p.m.
Officers found the shooting victim next to a light pole. He was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.
A witness told 3TV that the victim was shot in the face at least once.
The victim's identity hasn't been released.
Sgt. Tommy Thompson said witnesses reported seeing two unknown black males, 18 to 22 years old, running from the area, but it is unknown if they had any involvement in the shooting.
