PHOENIX (AP) -- A suspect in a fatal shooting at a Phoenix discount store 13 years ago has been extradited from Mississippi, where he was arrested last month.
Phoenix police say 35-year-old Michael C. Moye was booked into the Maricopa County Jail on Thursday.
He had been held on a homicide warrant in Moss Point, Mississippi, by the Jackson County Sheriff's Office as he awaited extradition.
Police say Moye is believed to be one of the three men who entered a Dollar Store in west Phoenix on June 16, 2001.
The store clerk was assaulted and a customer -- 41-year-old Jaime Olivera-Perez -- was fatally shot.
Police say the motive for the assault and shooting remain unclear.
They say Moye was identified as a suspect in 2012. The other two suspects remain unknown.
