PRESCOTT, Ariz. -- A man wanted on a probation violation and felony warrants was arrested after a SWAT standoff at a Prescott home Wednesday afternoon.

Maricopa County probation officials asked the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office to locate 56-year-old Daniel Bryan Lohmeier at a home on Flying Hawk Trail near Williamson Valley Road. He had reportedly missed a mandatory court appearance.

Lohmeier was considered armed and dangerous as he allegedly planned to take guns from his parents' home then head to Mexico.

Yavapai sheriff's deputies were dispatched to the home around 3 p.m. and determined Lohmeier was inside by phone contact. It was unknown at the time if his parents were home.

Lohmeier reportedly had access to firearms and refused to come outside. Deputies began negotiations with him as the sheriff's SWAT team assembled.

Lohmeier's parents arrived home from running errands around 5:45 p.m. They cooperated with authorities and were escorted to a safe area, according to the sheriff's office.

Lohmeier exited the home shortly after 6 p.m. but stood by a vehicle parked in the driveway, still refusing to surrender. He did not appear armed, but deputies worried he would flee in the car.

He eventually told a negotiator he was not feeling well and requested an ambulance. He was told an ambulance crew was nearby but that he would only receive treatment if he surrendered.

SWAT deputies had surrounded the home and were able to restrain and arrest Lohmeier as he moved toward the entrance, according to the sheriff's office.

Lohmeier was treated at the scene for minor injuries and booked into Camp Verde Detention Center on a charge of resisting arrest and on a probation hold.

Deputies were not injured.
