FLORENCE, Ariz. (AP) -- A Mexican man in the country illegally has been arrested for allegedly using fake identification to work for a construction company and get security clearance at a Tucson Air Force base.
Pinal County Sheriff's officials say Mario Bustamante, 37, is being held on suspicion of using the identity of another person and possession of a forged device.
A sheriff's deputy made a traffic stop Dec. 26 on Interstate 10 and found the driver had a felony warrant for his arrest out of Texas.
Bustamante was taken to the border patrol station in Casa Grande, where his identity was confirmed.
He was working for a Mesa construction company contracted by Davis-Monthan Air Force Base.
Authorities say Bustamante obtained a security clearance through the military to work under the name Armando Villalobos.
