QUEEN CREEK, Ariz. -- The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help to locate a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run in Queen Creek early Wednesday morning.

At approximately 1:20 a.m., Byron Kleier, 38, was walking southbound on Rittenhouse Road north of Cloud Road when he was struck by a car.

Kleier suffered serious injuries, including a partially severed arm. At last check, he was listed in critical but stable condition.

The vehicle left the scene. It was described as possibly a dark-colored four-door passenger car. MCSO said it will likely have damage to the windshield, hood and front bumper. The mirrors or roof also might be damaged.

The sheriff's office has released stock photos of cars similar to the suspect vehicle.
