SUN CITY WEST, Ariz. – The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office has identified the two people who died in a house fire in Sun City West Saturday night.

Florence Brinner, 90, and her grandson, Timothy Brinner, 49, died after a fire broke out at the home near R.H. Johnson Boulevard and 132nd Avenue around 10 p.m.

On Monday, MCSO spokesman Deputy Joaquin Enriquez said arson detectives have ruled out any signs of foul play.

The cause of the fire is not known at this time, but detectives said it started in a room located near the garage. The investigation is ongoing.

A friend of a family member told 3TV that another grandson learned of the deaths Sunday morning while coming to visit.

"Our heart goes out to him because this is really a tragedy," said Robert Boyd, the grandson's friend. "It's really an unfortunate way to find out you lost your grandmother and brother."
