KINGMAN, Ariz. (AP) -- A Kingman High School teacher has been arrested on a misdemeanor assault charge for allegedly kissing a male student two years ago during a drama class.
Mohave County Sheriff's officials say 32-year-old Harry Thomas Schueren was arrested Wednesday. They say the charge doesn't involve allegations of sexual intent.
A student recently reported the incident. According to Trish Carter of the Mohave County Sheriff's Office, Schueren reportedly denied he intentionally kissed the now 17-year-old senior and contended they were involved in a heated up-close discussion when he turned his head and the two accidentally touched lips. The boy insisted it was intentional.
A 17-year-old girl also complained that Schueren kissed her this summer, but a witness didn't corroborate it and Schueren denied it.
There's no phone listing for Schueren. A call to the district wasn't immediately returned Thursday.
