PHOENIX -- Two people arrested in connection with the murder of a Paradise Valley couple were sentenced in Maricopa County Superior Court Tuesday morning.

Judge Warren Granville sentenced Brittany Beinhauer to 2.25 years in prison for one count of theft of a credit card. Katherine Austin was given three years in prison for one count of hindering prosecution.

Lawrence and Glenna Shapiro were fatally shot in January. Their bodies were found bound and burned beyond recognition in their home on Jan. 30 and their car was found burning behind a strip mall about 30 miles away.

Of the five other arrests made in the case, only Michael Lee Crane, 31, is charged with the couple's murder and setting their home on fire.

The others were all charged with theft, trafficking in stolen goods or hindering prosecution.

Crane is also accused of killing cigar salesman Bruce Gaudet whose bullet-riddled body was found in the burned ruins of his Phoenix condo on Jan. 26.
