PHOENIX -- Breakfast for dinner. Why not? Especially today, which is officially recognized as "National Pancake Day."
IHOP restaurants in the Valley and across the country are offering customers a free short stack of buttermilk pancakes.
In return for the free pancakes, you're asked to consider leaving a donation for charity. At Valley IHOP locations, your donations will benefit Phoenix Children's Hospital. Nationwide, donation money will also be helping Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.
"It really is a great organization," says Miss Arizona Jennifer Smestad, who does a lot for Phoenix Children's Hospital. "The proceeds will go to the Hope Fund for Phoenix Children's Hospital. And that goes to the soft blankets and the playgrounds for the children to actually have at the hospitals."
The free pancake offer is good until 10:00 p.m.Tuesday. There is a limit of one free short stack of buttermilk pancakes per guest for dine-in customers only. It cannot be combined with any other offer, special, coupon and/or discount.
